With beaches that are clean, sandy and safe for swimming and surfing, to stunning costal and country walks the Gower is a must for all walkers and water sports enthusiast. Family friendly Oxwich, Caswell Bays, and the fabulous Rhossili, (voted one of the best beaches in Europe) are worth particular mention on this beautiful coast. This site really is the Gateway to the Gower, the perfect location for exploring the peninsula and around Swansea Bay.

Although the immaculately kept Gowerton Club Campsite has its own treasures, you'll also find plenty to see inland. Use the caravan park as your starting point and head over to the Vale of Neath, to Aberdulais Falls, and see how the waters have powered numerous industries over three hundred years. Then on to Craig Gwladys where you can walk the forest trails and climb the steep ascent with the hangliders soaring above you. On again to Pont Nedd Fechan, from where you can see nine major waterfalls on four rivers, then into the Brecon Beacons National Park. With national cycle paths close by bike riders will find the site an ideal place to stay with the nearby Millennium path a particular favourite.

Visitors to Gowerton Club Campsite can now access all the facilities at the Elba Playing fields through newly installed security gates, with football and rugby pitches, dog walks, skateboard and BMX ramps and safe access to Gowerton village and local shops. The site offers a well stocked shop.

Swansea is a short bus ride away with its famous indoor market, marina, National Waterfront Museum and shops and cafes. The local, motor home friendly, Swansea Park and Ride is also close by. Cardiff with all its tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants is easily accessible from the local train station which is a 20 minute walk from the site. The train journey to central Cardiff takes just over an hour, so treat yourselves to a day out in the Welsh capital.

There are plenty of quality, good value places to eat in the area. Whether it's water sports or walking, lazing on the beach or sightseeing Club Campsite has it all.

A pizza van visits the site every Thursday, please ask site staff for more information.

Another brilliant stay

Gowerton Club Campsite
Having booked for 5 days and glorious weather expected over last weekend we decided to ask for 2 more days. Even though the site was very busy all four wardens went out of their way to allow us to stay. The site itself is excellent and very well run. The places to visit nearby enable you to visit the beach, walk in the woods or relax in the sand dunes. Goweton is a delight to both stay and explore the surrounding countryside.

Outstanding site with wonderful staff

Gowerton Club Campsite
My wife and I stayed on this site for a few days last week. 29th April to 1st May. We would have stayed longer but my wife had a fall and broke her wrist. The staff were amazing. Michael and Rachel, whom I believe are the senior wardens suggested I take my wife to Morriston Hospital . We had our 11 months old weimaraner puppy with us who we couldn't trust to leave in the caravan. Michael and Rachel volunteered to look after him while we were at the hospital, which I believe is above and beyond the call of duty. The staff trussed up my wife with an icepack and sling together with directions to the hospital. We can't thank them enough for their care and attention. Needless to say we will visit this site again this summer. a

Over and above...

Gowerton Club Campsite
I have stayed here a few times and the whole team are always great but I had to give a shout out to Nick for the time and effort he gave to get me out of a pickle. I was putting my Swift Basecamp 3 in the Gowerton CAMC storage compound when my jockey wheel gave way. After much head scratching (mine that is), Nick came to the rescue with a wheel barrow and some breeze blocks and together we were able to put the van safely in storage. Furthermore, he offered to help me hitch the van when I return to take the van for its annual service. Over and above etc. Thanks again Nick. :) .
